England and South Africa resume Test rivalry

PHILL MAGAKOE / AFP

The four-match Test series between England and South Africa starts at Centurion on Thursday.

The Proteas are hoping to end a five-Test losing streak, while England are looking to improve the poor touring record that has seen them lose five of their last six away series.

Joe Root's side have doubts over the fitness of bowlers Stuart Broad, Jofra Archer and Jack Leach - who have been ill.

Both the teams are playing their second ICC Test Championship series. While England are third in the table with two wins, South Africa are last.

The match starts at 12:00 pm UAE time.
