England edge out Pakistan in high-scoring thriller

England have gone up 1-0 in their One Day International (ODI) series against Pakistan after winning the second match in Southampton.

Batting first, the hosts amassed 373 for 3 with Jos Buttler smashing 110 off just 55.

Pakistan started their reply strongly with opener Fakhar Zaman hitting a quickfire century to help the tourists reach 227 for 1.

However, the loss of quick wickets pegged Pakistan back and they eventually ended their innings 12 runs short.

The third match will be played in Bristol on Tuesday.
