England win fifth test, but Australia retain Ashes

England have won the fifth and final Ashes Test at The Oval by 135 runs with a day to spare.

Stuart Broad and Jack Leach took four wickets each to bowl out the visitors for 263 in their second innings.

The series ends 2-2, however, Australia retain the Ashes by virtue of winning the previous series.

Steve Smith was named Man of the Series for his aggregate of 774 runs which he scored at a stunning average of 110.57.
