India beat Sri Lanka by seven wickets on Saturday to finish the group stage of the World Cup at the top of the points table.

Rohit Sharma smashed his fifth century of the tournament to help India easily chase down their target of 265.

The win sets up a semi-final clash against play fourth-placed New Zealand in the first semi-final at Manchester on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, Australia suffered a surprise 10-run defeat to South Africa on Saturday night.

The result drops them to second place in the points table, setting up a mouthwatering clash against hosts England at Birmingham on Thursday.

The winner of the two matches will meet in the finals on July 14.
