India clinch Test series with record win over South Africa

India crushed South Africa by an innings and 137 runs in the second Test in Pune.

Forced to follow on, the visitors’ second innings folded for 189 on day 4 as Umesh Yadav and Ravindra Jadeja picked up three wickets each.

Dean Elgar top-scored for the Proteas with 48.

South Africa were earlier bowled out for 275 in the first innings, while India posted 601-5 (declared), thanks to skipper Virat Kohli's unbeaten 254.

India currently leads the three-match series 2-0.

The final match will be played in Ranchi, starting October 19.

This was India's 11th consecutive Test series victory at home as they broke Australia's record of 10 series wins in the longest format.
