IPL 2020: Kings XI Punjab thrash Royal Challengers Bangalore by 97 runs

Kings XI Punjab (KXIP) registered their first win of IPL 2020 in Dubai on Thursday, by defeating Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) by 97 runs.

Skipper KL Rahul’s batting masterclass was on full display as he plundered 132 runs off 69 balls. 

Ravi Bishnoi, Sheldon Cottrell and Mohammed Shami gave a dream start to KXIP.

Virat Kohli was dismissed for 1 and dropped two crucial catches. 

Kings XI Punjab finished on a powerful total of 206/3, while stopping RCB for 109 in 17 overs.

Meanwhile, all players wore black armbands to mark their respect for former Australian cricketer Dean Jones, who died in Mumbai.
