Fantasy gaming platform Dream11 has won the title sponsorship rights for the latest edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL).

The deal is said to be worth INR 2.22 billion (AED 109.2 million).

The other bidders were education technology firms - Unacademy and Byju's.

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) and Chinese smartphone-makers Vivo had earlier suspended their contract for the tournament's 2020 edition following the recent border standoff between India and China.

This year's IPL is scheduled to be held in the UAE from September 19 to November 10.
