Italy have won Euro 2020 after beating England in the final at Wembley.

The match was settled 3-2 on penalties after it ended 1-1 following extra time.

Goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma was Italy's hero in the shootout with two crucial saves.

Substitutes Marcus Rashford, Jadon Sancho and Bukayo Saka failed to convert their spot kicks for England.

Gareth Southgate's side raced to an early lead after Luke Shaw struck in the second minute to score the fastest goal in a Euro final.

Leonardo Bonucci scored Italy's equalizer (67') to send the match into extra time and then to spot kicks after the score remained 1-1.

It's Italy's second European Championship title.
