Josh Tarling powers to victory in UAE Tour stage 2

Josh Tarling (Ineos Grenadiers) won the Stage 2 time trial at the UAE Tour, setting a time of 12:55 while speeding through the 12.2 km flat course on Abu Dhabi's Al Hudayriyat Island.

The 21-year-old British cyclist beat Stefan Bissegger (Decathlon AG2R La Mondiale) into second spot by 13 seconds, while UAE Team Emirates-XRG rider Tadej Pogačar rounded out the podium in third place (-18 seconds).

Stage 1 winner Jonathan Milan (Lidl-Trek) ended 49th at the finish line, to hand over the leader's red jersey to Tarling.
