Kylian Mbappé was given a rapturous reception at the Santiago Bernabéu stadium on Tuesday with more than 80,000 fans applauding the striker as he was unveiled as a new Real Madrid player.

The Frenchman said that joining the Spanish club was an old dream he always wished would come true and expressed his overwhelming joy at moving to the ranks of the "best team in the world".

Real Madrid presented its star player to the fans and the media after he joined the team on a free transfer from Paris Saint-Germain.

He added, "I thank everyone who contributed to my joining the ranks of Real Madrid, led by President Florentino Pérez, who trusted me from day one."

The 25-year-old has signed a five-year contract until the summer of 2029.
