Lewandowski breaks records with five-goal haul

Robert Lewandowski scored an amazing five goals in nine minutes, as Bayern Munich beat Wolfsburg 5-1 last night. Brought on as a substitute at half time, the striker got his first by tapping in from close range. His second was a low drive from 20 yards out, and he got his hat-trick at the third time of trying, after hitting the post and the Wolfsburg goalkeeper, Diego Benaglio. The fourth and fifth strikes came from volleys, with the latter an exquisite effort from the edge of the area. It was the fastest five-goal haul since Opta started recording statistics, and the first time that a sub scored more than a hat-trick in the Bundesliga.
