Lionel Messi wins Ballon d'Or trophy for unprecedented 5th time

Lionel Messi’s celebrating after winning the celebrated Ballon d'Or trophy for an unprecedented fifth time. The Argentinian footballer beat off competition from rival Cristiano Ronaldo and Barcelona teammate Neymar. "It's incredible, much more than anything I dreamed of as a kid," said Messi as he received the award. "I want to thank my team mates, without them none of this would have been possible." Barcelona's Luis Enrique, was also voted coach of the year.
