Liverpool's Elliott apologises for Kane video

IAN KINGTON / AFP

Liverpool's newest signing has apologised for a video in which he verbally abuses Tottenham footballer Harry Kane.

Harvey Elliott uploaded the video on Snapchat during the Reds' Champions League finals victory against Spurs in June.

The 16-year-old says the video "does not represent who I am as a person or how I've been brought up".

"I would just like to wholeheartedly apologise for any offence caused on the back of a video of me currently circulating on the internet," he said.
