Mumbai Indians thrashed Kolkata Knight Riders on Sunday night to go to the summit of the Indian Premier League (IPL) points table.

The result knocks out Kolkata and puts Sunrisers Hyderabad into the playoffs

Earlier, Chennai Super Kings sealed a top-two finish despite being convincingly beaten by King XI Punjab.

The playoffs get underway on Tuesday with the first qualifier between Mumbai and Chennai.
