Nadal beats Djokovic in Italian Open finals

Rafael Nadal beat world number one Novak Djokovic in the finals of the Italian Open to win his first title of the year.

The Spaniard prevailed 6-0, 4-6, 6-1 in Rome to seal his ninth Italian Open title.

It was also Nadal's 81st career win.

Meanwhile British number one Johanna Konta's went down to Karolina Pliskova in the ladies final.

The Czech world number seven won 6-3 6-4 in one hour 25 minutes.

It's her second title of the season.
