Belgian Jasper Philipsen finished first in Thursday's 182km Al Marjan Sprint Stage from Ras Al Khaimah Corniche to Al Marjan Island, his second victory after claiming a win in Abu Dhabi on Day 1.
Dutch rider Olav Kooij finished in second place, followed by Ireland's Sam Bennett.
Only 6.5km from the finish, overall leader and Team Emirates star Tadej Pogacar experienced a puncture, dashing his hopes of another stage win following yesterday's victory.
Pogacar retains the leader's jersey with Filippo Ganna (ITA) currently in second place and Aleksandr Vlasov (RUS) third.
On their way to the finish line, the riders passed Julphar Towers, Suwaidi Pearl Farm, Daryah Fort, the Ras Al Khaimah mangroves and Umm al Quwain where they were greeted by UAE Civil Defence.
The peloton were flagged off by His Highness Sheikh Saqr bin Saud Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Ras Al Khaima, and Aref Hamad Al Awani, General Secretary of Abu Dhabi Sports Council.
The race travels to Dubai on Friday for the 180km Stage 6 road race starting and finishing at Expo 2020 Dubai.
