Real Madrid beat Arsenal on penalties

Spanish giants Real Madrid fought back from two goals down to beat Arsenal in the pre-season International Champions Cup in the US state of Maryland.

The match was decided 3-2 on penalties after ending 2-2 in regular time.

Frenchman Alexandre Lacazette opened the scoring for the Gunners and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang extended the lead to 2-0 by half time. 

The second half saw Madrid fight back with goals from Gareth Bale and Marco Asensio that tied the game.

In the penalty shootout, Bale's shot bounced off the keeper, while Isco, Varane and Vinicius Junior scored for Madrid. 

Reiss Nelson and Bukayo Saka found the net for Arsenal, while Courtois stopped a shot by Granit Xhaka and Robbie Burton's aim was off target.
