Real Madrid wins Spanish Super Cup title

Real Madrid clinched the Spanish Super Cup title, beating Atletico Madrid 4-1 on penalties.

The match at King Abdullah Sports City in Jeddah was settled on spot kicks after finishing goalless after extra-time.

Saul and Thomas Partey failed to score in the shootout for Atletico, while captain Sergio Ramos struck the winning penalty for Real.

His side had finished the match with 10 men after Federico Valverde was sent off in the 115th minute for a foul on Alvaro Morata.
