Ronaldo shatters YouTube world record

Cristiano Ronaldo's new YouTube channel surpassed one million followers in under 90 minutes breaking the world record for most subscribers gained in one hour, and the fastest channel to reach a million subscribers.

Ronaldo’s new platform will give fans a behind-the-scenes look into the life he leads with partner Georgina Rodriguez.

The 39-year-old, five-time Ballon D'Or winner, announced his new channel on Instagram on Wednesday saying:  "The wait is over. My @YouTube channel is finally here! SIUUUbscribe and join me on this new journey".

The star's YouTube channel currently has 14 million subscribers.
