Former world boxing champion Nigel Benn has been forced to call off his comeback fight after picking up a shoulder injury in training.

The 55-year-old British fighter was scheduled to face Cameroon-born Australian, Sakio Bika in a one-off contest in Birmingham next month.

Benn held the WBO middleweight title in 1990 and the WBC super-middleweight title from 1992-96.

He last fought 23 years ago when he lost a rematch with Irishman Steve Collins.
