A new short course ride for "families and new cyclists" have been unveiled at this year's Spinneys Dubai 92 Cycle Challenge.

Held in partnership with Dubai Sports Council, the 40km course is aimed at providing a fun, family-friendly cycling experience for "cyclists of all abilities".

The 'Live Well Outride' will take place alongside the main 92km challenge on February 19, with registration now open.

Organisers have also launched complimentary 'Learn to Ride' clinic that will aid new cyclists in building their confidence and support the development of their skills.

A 90-minute training session with some of the UAE's top cyclists will be held on January 23 for those aged 13 and above.

As part of the final Build-Up Ride for this year’s challenge, the clinic will also provide new riders with valuable insights and support at Al Qudra Cycling Track.

Registration for the clinic is now open

"The Learn to Ride programme and our Live Well Outride race, which follows in February, means there really is something for everyone in this year’s Spinneys Dubai 92 Cycle Challenge, and we cannot wait to see all the cyclists take to the streets of Dubai with their family and friends – be it for competition or fun," said Stewart Howison, Race Director.

In keeping with the new workweek model in the UAE, the final Build-Up Ride will take place on Sunday, January 23, together with the Learn to Ride programme, and the 2022 Spinneys Dubai 92 Cycle Challenge and Live Well Outride will go ahead on Saturday, February 19.
