Australian batsman Steven Smith has been ruled out of the third Ashes Test at Headingly.

It comes after he failed to recover in time from the concussion he suffered at Lord's.

Marnus Labuschagne will take Smith's place in the playing XI.

He became the first concussion sub in Test cricket after Smith was hit in the neck by a Jofra Archer bouncer in the first innings.

The third Test gets underway on Thursday with Australia up 1-0 in the five-match series.
