Suarez scores in first match for Uruguay since ‘biting’ incident

Uruguay's Luis Suarez celebrates after scoring against Brazil during their 2018 FIFA World Cup South American Qualifiers' football match, in Recife, Brazil, on March 25, 2016.

Luis Suarez scored on his return from an international ban as Uruguay came from behind to grab a 2-2 draw with Brazil in a 2018 World Cup qualifying match on Friday. It was the Barcelona star’s first international outing since completing a nine-match ban for biting Italy's Giorgio Chiellini at the 2014 World Cup. Suarez struck in the 48th minute to complete a Uruguayan fightback after Brazil went 2-0 up inside the first half an hour. Elsewhere, Guatemala scored a shock 2-0 home win over the United States, while Mexico beat Canada 3-0.
