The tournament played in Dubai has become the richest prize in world golf.

The winner of the European Tour's season-ending event will now pocket a cheque for US $3 million (just over AED 11 million).

That's an increase of 125 per cent from what Danny Willett won at last year’s tournament.

The field will also be reduced from 60 to the top 50 players on the Race to Dubai rankings.
