Tadej Pogačar extends contract with UAE until 2030

UAE Team Emirates, recently named the UCI World Tour Best Team for 2024, has announced that World Champion Tadej Pogačar has signed a contract extension with the team until 2030.

Since joining the team in 2019, Pogačar has achieved an impressive 88 victories, including wins in General Classifications, Stage Racing, and One-Day Classics.

His remarkable 2024 season included triumphs at the Tour de France, Giro D’Italia, and significant one-day races like Strade Bianche and Liege-Bastogne-Liege, culminating in his World Championship victory in Zurich.

Pogačar's accomplishment of winning the Giro, Tour de France, and World Championships in one season, with 25 victories in just 58 days of racing, he set a new record in professional cycling.

Expressing his pride in extending his time with the team, Pogačar stated, “The best moments of my career have come at UAE Team Emirates, and I’m really excited for the future.”

Mauro Gianetti, Team Principal and CEO, praised Pogačar’s dedication and hard work, while Matar Suhail Al Yabhouni Al Dhaheri, President of UAE Team Emirates, highlighted Pogačar's role as an inspiration for the next generation of cyclists in the UAE.

With this extension, the team looks forward to continuing its success with Pogačar at the helm
