USA knock Spain out of Women's World Cup

The USA came have out on top in a challenging last 16 tie against Spain in the Women's World Cup.

Megan Rapinoe scored two penalties to give the US a 2-1 victory.

The result sets up what promises to be a mouthwatering quarter-final clash against France.

Meanwhile Canada were knocked out of the World Cup after losing 1-0 to Sweden.

Stina Blackstenius scored for Sweden in the 55th minute to give her country the win.

Sweden will now play Germany in Saturday's quarter-final.
