Indian all-rounder Vijay Shankar has been ruled out of the ongoing Cricket World Cup due to injury.

He injured his left toe while facing pacer Jasprit Bumrah during a training session two weeks ago.

Batsman Mayank Agarwal has been confirmed as Vijay Shankar’s replacement.

The 28-year-old made his Test debut against Australia last year, but has not yet played in the ODI format.
