The West Indies cruised to victory against Scotland in the ICC Women's T20 World Cup at the Dubai International Stadium on Sunday.

The West Indies eased to a six-wicket victory against a Scotland team which sit bottom of Group B.

Qiana Joseph starred as the Caribbean Islanders climbed to the top of the group following their win.

The Scots were playing in only their second-ever World Cup match but skipper Hayley Matthews said after the game that they still have a chance and are remaining positive.

"Next we have Bangladesh, if we win that and then against England to get into the semi-finals", she said.

Earlier in the day India returned to winning ways with victory over Pakistan.

Fresh off the back of a shock loss to New Zealand, India produced a much-needed performance to secure a six-wicket win in Dubai.

Nearly 16,000 people packed the Dubai stadium, setting a record for a group game in the Women's World Cup.
