Mark Williams is safely through to the second round of the Snooker World Championship.

The reigning World Champion got the better of qualifier Martin Gould 10-7 to become the first player into the next stage.

Meanwhile, 2010 champion Neil Robertson has a commanding 9-0 lead over debutant Michael Georgiou.

Elsewhere, number 14 seed Luca Brecel leads Gary Wilson 5-4 at the end of their first session.
