Serena Williams is through to the second round of the French Open.

The 37-year-old will now take on Kurumi Nara or Slovenian Dalila Jakupovic in the second round.

Meanwhile, Caroline Wozniacki crashed out in the first round after losing to Veronika Kudermetova.
