A virtual charter school has been launched by authorities in Abu Dhabi to assist students whose families have been impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic.
The online platform will ensure that the children have uninterrupted access to education.
It is initially offering the Ministry of Education curriculum and has already enrolled 579 students of 15 nationalities.
The project is being implemented by the Abu Dhabi Department of Education and Knowledge (Adek), in partnership with Horizon Private School.
It is an extension of Abu Dhabi's Charter Schools initiative, which offers a third education model based on public-private partnership.
