Around 20,000 employees of shopping malls and retail outlets in Abu Dhabi have been tested for COVID-19.
The screenings were carried out at SEHA’s (Abu Dhabi Health Services Company) drive-through facilities in Abu Dhabi City, Al Bahia, Al Wathba, Al Ain and Al Dhafra.
In addition to the testing, staff were educated on the importance of social distancing, regular sanitisation, temperature checks, and the appropriate use of masks and gloves.
It comes ahead of the reopening of malls and commercial centres in Abu Dhabi. Outlets will be allowed to restart operations only after their employees test negative for COVID-19.
