UAE, Lebanon launch 'One Million Lebanese AI Experts' initiative

Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, and Lebanese Prime Minister Dr. Nawaf Salam have launched an initiative that will equip one million people with the necessary AI skills in Lebanon.

The announcement was shared in a meeting between the two diplomats on the sidelines of the 81st session of the United Nations General Assembly in New York.

Launched under the Government Experience Exchange Programme (GEEP), the initiative will allow the UAE to share its expertise in AI integration by introducing fundamental and practical skills to the Lebanese community. 

It also aims to build their digital capabilities and enable participants to effectively use artificial intelligence tools in their work and daily lives. 

The initiative targets all segments of Lebanese society, giving people of different ages, backgrounds, and roles the opportunity to acquire practical skills in AI and prompt engineering.

During the meeting, the two diplomats also looked into ways to strengthen bilateral cooperation across various sectors in support of their shared interests.
