Abu Dhabi is rolling out the Pfizer- BioNTech vaccine to anyone with a valid Emirates ID, provided they fit in with the approved eligibility criteria.
UAE residents and citizens aged over 16 years can book their appointments at select centres in the UAE capital, a spokesperson for the Department of Health Abu Dhabi confirmed to ARN News Centre.
"Anyone with a valid Emirates ID can head to Abu Dhabi for the Pfizer vaccine," confirmed a call centre agent at SEHA.
Once the vaccination booking is made, they will be assessed clinically before given the jab to ensure their safety and eligibility, the health authority added.
Meanwhile, nursing mothers can consult the doctor to provide details about available COVID-19 vaccine options.
Following the announcement last week, all eligible UAE citizens and residents can book their appointment at select SEHA and Mubadala centres in Abu Dhabi, Al Dhafra and Al Ain.
The Sinopharm vaccine will continue to be available by appointment or walk-in visits throughout the emirate.
