Abu Dhabi Festival has announced details of this year's STEAM programme in Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Maths.
In collaboration with MIT, they'll host university students across various academic backgrounds, including visual arts, design, architecture and computer science in teams for a specialized course in 3-D printing technology.
The challenge for this year’s programme is to design a solution using 3-D technology to a problem faced in any chosen industry.
Following the completion of an online design course from MIT, participants will bring their ideas to life in teams, with the finished work to be exhibited at Abu Dhabi Festival.
Designs from 2021, included Mangroots by the Zayed University team, Sa’f by the Abu Dhabi University team, Timeless by the American University of Dubai team and Coral Colonies of Mass Construction by the American University of Sharjah team.
