Ajman residential tower evacuated as fire breaks out

A fire that broke out in a residential building in Ajman on Friday afternoon has been brought under control.

Ajman Police confirmed that no injuries were reported following the blaze that affected a 15-storey building located on Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Street in Al Nuaimia area.

The forced added that 16 apartments and 13 vehicles were damaged in the incident.

Ajman Civil Defence and police teams were quick to reach the site and evacuate the building as a precautionary measure.

Firefighters from Sharjah and Umm Al Quwain also joined them in bringing the fire under control.

Cooling operations were carried out at the site, which has now been handed over to the police for further investigations.
