The UAE has reiterated its solidarity with the Yemeni people, its support for all efforts to end the crisis, and its political and humanitarian repercussions.
During a meeting, Dr. Anwar Gargash, Diplomatic Adviser to the UAE President, and Hans Grundberg, UN Special Envoy to Yemen, discussed the need to establish a ceasefire and a sustainable political solution.
Gargash also affirmed the UAE's support for the international efforts and Grundberg’s work to establish a permanent ceasefire and initiate dialogue to reach a sustainable political settlement to the Yemeni crisis, lauding the efforts of Saudi Arabia.
He also praised the UN and other stakeholders for their initiative to unload the "FSO Safer" floating oil storage unit off Yemen's coast, preventing a potential environmental and humanitarian disaster.
