Abu Dhabi will increase workplace attendance in government entities and companies to 60 per cent from May 30.
According to the capital's Emergency, Crisis, and Disasters Committee, periodic PCR testing will be compulsory for all employees to enter the workplace.
Unvaccinated people must test weekly, while those who've received their second dose 28 days or more from returning must test monthly.
Vaccinated individuals who have active icons (gold star or letter E) on the Al Hosn app are exempt from taking the tests.
Meanwhile, employees aged 60 and above, those suffering from chronic diseases or weak immunities, people of determination, and pregnant or nursing mothers will be allowed to continue working remotely.
This will also apply to parents of children in grades 10 and below studying remotely until the end of the current school term.
