Authorities in Abu Dhabi have announced further changes to the testing process for commuters crossing the border into the emirate.
According to the Abu Dhabi Media Office, travellers can continue to present a negative PCR test result received within 48 hours.
However, a DPI laser test result will only be accepted if it's accompanied by a negative PCR test result received within six days.
It added that the same type of test cannot be taken twice in a row within six days.
The new entry procedures will come into effect on Thursday, August 27.
Volunteers involved in the COVID-19 vaccine trials are exempt from these entry measures and are allowed to use emergency vehicle lanes for a smooth journey.
