Authorities in Abu Dhabi are reminding residents to get their COVID-19 booster shot ahead of the September 20 deadline.
Those who received their second dose of Sinopharm vaccine more than six months ago are required to get a booster shot to maintain their green status on the Al Hosn app.
The booster jabs are necessary to "enhance immunity and to comply with approved health protocol", the Abu Dhabi Media Office said on Twitter.
Meanwhile, the Ministry of Health and Prevention clarified that booster shots are not necessary for other vaccines, adding that any changes will be broadcast through the official channels.
