Dubai’s healthcare sector recorded strong growth in 2025, reinforcing the emirate’s goal of becoming a global hub for advanced medical services.
New figures from the Dubai Health Authority (DHA) show the number of licensed healthcare facilities rose to around 5,800 last year — up from 5,340 in 2024, an increase of more than eight per cent.
The facilities include 55 hospitals, 68 specialised clinics, 60 day‑surgery centres, 70 general dental clinics, 126 general medical clinics, 222 home healthcare centres and 101 alternative medicine centres.
The private sector workforce also expanded, with more than 69,000 healthcare professionals now operating in Dubai — another eight per cent jump as the emirate continues to attract top medical talent.
The DHA's Director General Dr. Alawi Alsheikh‑Ali says the private sector remains a core pillar of Dubai’s healthcare system, highlighting rapid advancements in infrastructure and smart services.
He added that the sector’s growth reflects strong investor confidence in Dubai’s regulatory environment and the incentives that make the emirate a destination for major global medical institutions.
Dubai’s healthcare ecosystem posts record growth in 2025, affirming city’s rise as a global healthcare hub. The emirate is home to nearly 5,800 healthcare facilities employing over 69,400 professionals, marking year-on-year increases of over 8% on both counts. @DHA_Dubai pic.twitter.com/wfZDKsppC3
