The Roads and Transport Authority, in coordination with Dubai Police, has honoured delivery companies and bike riders as part of the second edition of the Delivery Sector Excellence Award.
The award, the first of its kind in the region to recognise delivery riders, aims to raise service quality standards while encouraging strict compliance with traffic regulations, occupational safety and professional best practices.
The ceremony, held at the Dubai Police Officers Club, recognised winners across several categories, including delivery companies, riders, partners and strategic partner.
A total of 200 riders were honoured, including 50 in the Gold category, 60 in Silver and 90 in Bronze, with rewards increasing in line with the level of excellence achieved.
Organisers reported a 20 per cent increase in participation compared to the first edition, reflecting growing engagement across the sector.
Winners were selected based on strict criteria, including compliance with safety, health and environmental standards, adherence to RTA regulations, the use of modern technologies, continuous training and overall customer satisfaction.
Criteria for the Best Rider award also included a clean record, free from complaints, violations and accidents, along with strong performance evaluations.
- ELITE Zone Delivery Services secured first place in the Best Delivery Company category, followed by ZONE Delivery Services in second place and ZAJEL Logistics Services in third.
- In the Best Delivery Company via Platforms and Smart Applications category, DB L.L.C – Delivery Hero (Talabat) claimed first place, with CAREEM Delivery Services finishing second and Motoboy Delivery Services taking third place.
- Majid Al Futtaim Group won the Best Partner Award, a category introduced in the second edition to recognise entities supporting the delivery sector. and riders. These include contributing to the provision of water dispensers at rider rest areas operated by the RTA and maintaining them on a regular basis to ensure consistent quality.
