Dubai Festival City Mall evacuated after fire

Dubai Festival City Mall was briefly evacuated on Monday evening following a fire.

The blaze affected a part of the facade of the building.

Dubai Civil Defence teams were alerted to the incident at 7:28 pm, and reached the spot within six minutes.

The blaze was brought under control by 7:42 pm and cooling operations continued till 8:09 pm.

The site was later handed over to the authorities for investigations. No injuries have been reported.

It was the second fire tackled by Dubai Civil Defence personnel on Monday.

They had also put out a blaze at a recycling warehouse in Al Quoz Industrial Area 1.
