Dubai authorities have begun final preparations for the New Year celebrations, holding a coordination meeting to review security and operational plans across the emirate.
The Dubai Events Security Committee said the meeting focused on ensuring readiness for large crowds expected at fireworks displays and major tourist locations.
Chaired by Major General Saif Muhair Al Mazrouei, Assistant Commander-in-Chief for Operations at Dubai Police, the session brought together representatives from multiple government agencies. It was hosted at the Dubai Corporation for Ambulance Services, whose Executive Director, Mishal Abdul Karim Julfar, was also in attendance.
Officials discussed crowd management at key viewing areas, including entry and exit points, parking facilities and transport routes to and from major event sites.
The committee also reviewed last year’s security plan and considered additional measures to accommodate the continued growth and scale of the celebrations.
Major General Al Mazrouei said New Year events were among Dubai’s most high-profile occasions, attracting international visitors and extensive global media coverage. He stressed that coordinated efforts between agencies were essential to delivering celebrations that reflect Dubai’s status as a leading global destination and the wider standing of the UAE.
