Since the start of 2026, Dubai Police have issued 4,504 hard shoulder violations, with drivers handed AED1,000 in fines and 6 black points.
The authority posted a video on social media platform X showing several motorists breaking the traffic law.
Dubai Police reminded drivers that the "hard shoulder is reserved for emergencies - not for bypassing traffic".
"Keeping it clear allows emergency vehicles to respond quickly when every second counts," they added.
