An officer in Dubai Police has been promoted after single-handedly arresting two men who stole a taxi.
Mustafa Awad Yehia spotted the vehicle shortly after it was reported stolen and gave chase in his patrol car.
He managed to safely cut the taxi off, then approached the vehicle and removed the keys before putting the two thieves in handcuffs.
His Excellency General Abdullah Khalifa Al-Marri, Commander-in-Chief of Dubai Police, praised Mustafa's vigilance and bravery and honoured the officer in the presence of his son.
