The Dubai Charity Association has launched an urgent relief operation to support those affected by severe flooding in Mali and Niger.
The aid includes food packages, medical support for malaria, and the construction of shelters.
Affected communities in Bla, Mali's Ségou region and Shentberdine village in Niger's Tawa state are receiving vital assistance.
In Mali, 500 food baskets containing essentials like rice, pasta, oil, milk and sugar have been distributed, benefitting around 2,500 people.
Around 515 food baskets have been provided to 2,575 individuals in Niger, and 50 huts have been built for displaced families.
Ahmed Al Suwaidi, Executive Director of Dubai Charity, emphasised that these efforts reflect the UAE's commitment to humanitarian aid, inspired by the nation's leadership.
The aid also includes a four-day medical convoy that has treated malaria and other illnesses, benefitting 300 people in Mali and 145 in Niger.
This comprehensive relief effort aims to offer both immediate support and long-term assistance to those in need.
