Heavy fog has briefly disrupted operations at Dubai International Airport (DXB) on Thursday morning, with 19 inbound flights diverted to nearby airports due to reduced visibility.
In a statement sent to ARN News, a Dubai Airports spokesperson said the 19 flight diversions were recorded up until 9:00 am.
The authority said it's "working closely with airlines, control authorities and all airport partners to stabilise the operation as quickly as possible".
Those travelling through DXB have also been advised to check the latest flight information with their airlines.
The National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) issued a red and yellow alert on Thursday morning as dense fog reduced visibility to less than 1,000m across several parts of the country.
