The final list of candidates for the upcoming Federal National Council (FNC) elections has been approved by the National Election Committee. There are 341 names in total, including 76 women. The majority of the candidates are in the age group of 40-60, with private sector employees forming the bulk. Speaking on the occasion, His Excellency Dr. Anwar Gargash, Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, Minister of State for FNC Affairs and Chairman of the National Election Committee, said the review process of the appeals took place in accordance with legal procedures outlined by the committee, which transfers the appeals request to an independent committee headed by a judge. Applications can be withdrawn before September 14, while voting is scheduled for October 3.
