The Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Global Initiatives (MBRGI) has distributed 50,000 food parcels and issued 10,000 ration cards to those affected by last week's extreme weather in the Eastern region.
The ration cards allow holders to purchase basic supplies, in addition to providing food packs to beneficiaries.
The MBRGI has been working in collaboration with the UAE Food Bank and the Fujairah Charity Association.
The urgent aid is in conjunction with volunteering initiatives and social support to help those hit by the heavy rain and flooding in several areas of the country recover.
